State T-shirts will be Superman themed. $12 for short sleeves, $15 for long

Melba LaCaze has

We were saddened today to learn of the death of our friend and fellow coach,
Mary Ellen Self. Mary Ellen was the coach at the Louisiana School for
Math, Science, and the Arts for a number of years. She retired from
coaching in May, 2007. We take this opportunity to extend our condolences
to her family and friends. She will be missed.

All membership forms and tournament notice is due to her no later than
September 10th. Your membership must be accompanied by the Principal's
signature and a $40.00 membership fee. Those forms are available
here.

Please be reminded that tournament reports are due within two weeks of your
tournament and that all results should include the number of teams/individuals
competing in an event, out-of-state schools should be clearly indicated, and
first and last names of winners are required. I cannot accept results that
are last names only.

e-mails to the Executive Council. It is located in the Table of Contents
under "Tournaments". You are encouraged to use it as a way of
applauding the hard work of all our tournament directors and to offer
suggestions for improvement. .
